American Cancer Society: For 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of supporters worldwide, it helps people stay well, helps people get well, works on finding cures, and fights back against cancer. A strong mechanism for prevention is awareness and a great deal of what we do with the ACS is helping spread the word about preventable causes of cancer through nationwide events such as Relay for Life.
